How to crop Flipkart labels for a 4x6 thermal printer
A step-by-step guide to turning Flipkart’s A4 label and invoice pages into clean 4x6 thermal labels.
Why Flipkart labels need cropping
When you generate labels in Flipkart Seller Hub, you get an A4 PDF. The shipping label sits in the top part of each page and the tax invoice fills the rest. That layout is fine for an office printer, but a thermal printer uses small 4 x 6 inch labels. If you send the A4 page straight to it, the label shrinks until the barcode is hard to scan, or the printer wastes several labels per order.
Cropping fixes this. You keep only the shipping label, scale it to fill a 4x6 page, and print one sticker per parcel. It is quicker to pack, uses less paper and gives couriers a barcode that scans first time.
Step 1: Download the label PDF from Seller Hub
Go to Orders in Seller Hub and open the Pending RTD list. Select the orders you plan to ship today and choose Generate Labels. Flipkart prepares one PDF for the batch. Download it to your phone or computer.
Tip: if you pack in two or three rounds a day, keep each PDF. You can crop them together later and print one combined file.
Step 2: Crop the labels
Open the Flipkart label cropper and drop the PDF into the box. The tool reads each page in your browser, looks for the dashed line or empty band that separates the label from the invoice, and frames the label. You will see previews of every page with the crop drawn as a soft frame.
If one frame looks slightly off, tap the preview. Drag the edges or corners until the whole label fits, then switch on Apply to all pages. Because Flipkart uses the same layout on every page, one adjustment fixes the full batch.
Step 3: Choose the right options
Under Options, keep the label size at 4x6 inch. Leave Remove the invoice section switched on. If you want labels grouped for the pickup person, choose Sort by courier. Sorting by SKU is handy when you pick stock from shelves in a fixed order.
The small gap slider adds white space around the label. A tiny gap helps if your printer cuts close to the edge.
Step 4: Print on your thermal printer
Press Download PDF and open the file. In the print dialog choose your thermal printer, set the paper size to 100 x 150 mm, portrait orientation, and actual size. Zebra, TSC, Xprinter and Brother printers all work this way.
If the print looks faint, increase the darkness or heat setting in the printer driver. If labels drift, run the label calibration from the printer menu once.
Common questions
Does the barcode lose quality? No. The tool copies the original page content into the new file instead of taking a picture of it, so lines and barcodes stay sharp at any size.
Is my order data safe? Yes. The file never leaves your device. There is no upload, no account and no watermark.
Can I still print the invoice? Turn off Remove the invoice section and choose A4. You will get the full pages, merged into one file.
